A TELEVISION presenter has added her name to the list of celebrities taking part in this year’s hotly-anticipated Worcester City 10K.

BBC Breakfast TV star Louise Minchin will join others in the Run Bike Run challenge, which forms part of the 10K event, on Sunday, September 18.

Louise, who already participates in triathlon events, will just take on the cycling part of the challenge and is appealing for team mates to run the 10K and 5K sections.

Minchin said: “I absolutely love taking part in mass events in different places. I think it is a fantastic way to see a city.

“I have been to Worcester once in my life and it struck me as a really beautiful place.

“For me, the atmosphere of all being involved in this joint endeavour and people coming out to cheer you on is just a really fun way of running and if you do it at an event like that you finish distances you never think you could.

“It is just a great, fun way of doing exercise.”
