Hope all your training is going well for the Worcester City Runs. I been loving my training recently but I have been struggling mentally which almost derailed my training but luckily I managed to keep running along.
One of my other favourite events was coming up so I was going to use it as training called 401 running festival which covers 26.2 miles in one weekend.
So on the Saturday me and Ryan did parkrun tourism and visited Burham and Highgate parkrun, we took it easy as wanted to save myself for 401 running festival.
I was excited and nervous about the event as I been struggling mentally but once I got going I was in the zone, I smashed out 5k and the half on the Saturday to was really hot and hilly but I was really happy with the result then on the Sunday I struggled with the 10k as my legs were tired but I soon recovered and smashed the 6k race to make it up to marathon distance I finished 1st challenge lady overall.
I was so happy and Ryan was great support by screaming at me as I ran up a steep hill to take the win. I am excited for the Worcester City 10K so hopefully I am on target.
This week been very quiet, easy miles and plenty of yoga and foam rolling so I am now counting down the days.
Happy running guys.
