In the first of this year’s 2019 EOTN Ambassador biographies, we meet Ruth who will be running in the 2019 Air Products Worcester City Run Half Marathon.
“I’m Ruth Bennett age 38 and I am a teacher .
I absolutely love running in Worcester and I genuinely believe the support around the Worcester City Run 10K and Half is some of the best!
The race takes in all the best bits of Worcester including the river, the cathedral, the racecourse, and lots of beautiful parts of the countryside. It’s always one of my favourite races!
I have run my whole adult life, including 5 marathons and lots of halves and other events. I love being a member of the Black Pear Joggers. My favourite event has to be the London Marathon, there is nothing else like it, especially the year I ran in memory of my Dad and raised £6,000 for local Worcester Hospice, St Richard’s.
This year I am helping to pace people this year who want a sub-2 Half Marathon so a different goal for me this year (last year I ran for a PB). I love pacing and helping others achieve their goals.
