What a 2020 that was. If I’m honest after all of the events being cancelled last year I lost my MOJO and definitely ate too many donuts.
Although I still completed them this was done virtually, and I have to say I’m not a fan of a virtual anything.
I missed the build-up, dropping your bag off, queuing for the loo twice at least and most of all I missed the support of the crowds and how much they make an event.
Now we are in 2021 and can we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Hopefully…..
2021 meant a fresh start and to start my training again, although for me the first few months have been tough as I have had a few injuries but hopefully these have now gone and I can move forward with my training.
With the extra weight I have gained during these lockdowns ( I blame the donuts again ) I have started afresh.
So with the Worcester half 17 weeks away let’s see what some real training can make me achieve this year.
I have even convinced my wife to sign up for the 10km and as new parents we are both finding the time to fit training into our busy lives with our 6 month old.
I look forward to talking with you again over the coming months and to share my journey along the way.
